The Flexicycle™ power plants can be optimised for different outputs in the 100 to 500 MW range. The 60 hertz J-Series gas turbine achieves a rated power output of about 320 megawatts (MW) (ISO basis) and an unprecedented 460 MW in gas turbine combined-cycle (GTCC) power generation applications, in which heat recovery steam generators and steam turbines are also used. Siemens has won a contract to supply a single-shaft power island with a H-Class turbine, with up to 61% operational efficiency, to power Cengiz Enerji's proposed gas-fired combined-cycle power plant (600 MW) in Samsun, Turkey. It offers options for combined heat and power generation. Additionally, the small size of these engines facilitated GE Power & Water produces gas, steam and aero derivative turbines; generators; combined cycle systems; and renewable energy solutions, as well as provides water treatment services and equipment. This change, I think, will radically improve the economic viability of natural gas fired combined, combustion turbine-steam turbine, power plants. The power plant solution is based on gas fired combustion engines and steam turbine combined cycle. General Electric Company's three Jenbacher J624 gas engines have replaced Energie AG's existing steam turbines. Combined-cycle power generation systems combine gas turbines and steam turbines to achieve high fuel efficiency as compared to conventional thermal power plants. The plant, to be fueled by natural gas, will utilize a combined cycle power plant technology with a high efficiency gas-turbine (GT) and heat recovery steam generator (HRSG). With GTCC type power generation, gas and steam turbines are used in combination to generate electricity in two stages, utilizing high-temperature exhaust gas from the gas turbine. The plant consists of GE Frame 7FA Gas Turbines and a GE Steam Turbine, with associated combined cycle balance of plant equipment including a Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant. Comprising 23 gas turbines and seven steam turbines, the installed power generation capacity of the DUBAL Power Plant is 2,350 MW (at 30˚C). These will become the dominant source of electric power in North Now, with the new technology of fracking of large shale formations being commercialized providing low price natural gas availability, these combined cycle plants I expect, will dominate. The project will be configured as a In accordance with the deal, Siemens will supply a power island including a SGT5-8000H gas turbine, an SST5-5000 steam turbine and a SGen5-3000W generator. The gas turbines are fuelled primarily by natural gas and, thanks to the cogeneration and combined cycle configuration of the utility, approximately 36.8% of the power generated at DUBAL is fuel-free. 1 week ago Like (0) Like (0) Sign In or Register.
